Surfrider Atlantic Canada Film Screening & Community Mixer
On May 28th, Surfrider Atlantic Canada and Patagonia Halifax are stoked to be celebrating International Plastic Free Day with a special community mixer and film screening of Plastic People.
Thanks to the generous support of Patagonia Halifax and Goodmore Kombucha, the event is free.
There will be popcorn, Goodmore Kombucha, and raffle prize entries available by donation (both cash and card accepted), with awesome prizes provided by Patagonia Halifax, the Ark's wetsuit recycling program, Surfrider Foundation Canada... and maybe more.
Surfrider Foundation Canada is a registered charity and all funds raised will be used to support Surfrider Atlantic's programs, including the Blue Water Task Force water quality testing program that is launching this spring/summer.
Please join us!
The film screening will start at 7 p.m.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for the community mixer, where you can chat about your love of the ocean and what is being done to protect shorelines in Nova Scotia with representatives from Surfrider Atlantic Canada, Ocean Week Halifax, and the Ark (which will be accepting donations of worn-out wetsuits for its wetsuit recycling program).
